Great hotel in a great location on the mountain and edge of the forest. The staff around the boss, Mrs. Renner, is very accommodating. I'll be back soon!

Again, a big thank you. This year we decided to go for the Martin's goose. It was delicious as always. Also well prepared with the transport box and the instructions for warming up. The beautiful ambience and the friendly service were of course missing at home.

Discovered by chance about 2 years ago, but since then I have enjoyed business trips again and again. Great location, very nice atmosphere, great breakfast buffet. Here I really feel "with friends".

Great restaurant !!! We were there to eat with the children. Very nice ambience. Reminds something of South Tyrol. Selection of the meals and their quality were perfect. Prices justified. I like to pay one or two euros more if I get such good quality in addition to great service. Have been back for a long time but will definitely be back soon (after the lockdown). Stay healthy and get through these turbulent times well.

As always, it was very nice, the food was delicious, the service was friendly and accommodating. Is only to be recommended!

Good starting point for hikes (to Oberhof, around Zella-Mehlis, etc.). Room i. O. playground for children available. Small animal enclosure with goats, ducks, alpackas etc. m. Good motorway connection. Service, service and food great!

Very nice hotel / restaurant located in the forest. Sufficient parking spaces available. Can be reached quickly. Food tasty, priced a bit higher / staff friendly and accommodating. A walk afterwards possible. Tip: Take a drop forge with you

Nice visit, the food was hearty, everything in the house is a bit nooks and crannies. We had an interesting place for dinner - we were seated next to breakfast, which should be served the next morning. After a while the tables began to be set with the breakfast set. A bit strange, but maybe due to the fact that the beer garden was closed due to the weather.

We, two just over 50, had a very nice week with you. Eating, drinking, atmosphere for us 10 out of 10 points. Even in the Corona time everything went great. Value for money top Also you shouldn't forget the packed lunches who booked it (take it with you). A contact person is always on site for questions of any kind. Now I would soon have forgotten the garden area 10 out of 10. Now to the area we were out and about with the e-bike every day (the tours can be found at Komoot). Conclusion we'll be back. The only positive thing was that the rooms were clean and the conditions were friendly. The room was very small that we could hardly find a place for our helmets. The food was at best mediocre and the drinks extremely overpriced, a cheek. The boss didn't even have to ask how you liked it, not a word except after returning the debit card: a dry thank you. I really don't have to have it again.

We were in the restaurant and highly recommend it. The selection of dishes is very large and the food is really great. The ladies are very attentive and friendly. I can also only recommend a short walk after the delicious meal.

Concerning the restaurant: Sadly my order was not listened to. I ordered without cranberry sauce and a salad without dressing, it came with sauces. Other than that the food was alright, a bit salty, but that's often with German food.

We had dinner during the week, after ordering in advance by phone in the morning, we were allowed to take a seat at a beautifully decorated table in the evening. I say the guest room was very well filled, but thanks to the very nice ambience, each guest can concentrate on their counterpart and is not distracted by the hall character - very good. The food was very, very tasty and didn't allow us to criticize anything. Many thanks also to Susanne, who took great care of us. Thank you for this wonderful evening at this crazy time. We will be back !!!

Top family run hotel. We are enthusiastic about the friendliness and the service. The rooms are nicely decorated and very clean, the restaurant is modern and the food is really good; traditional Thuringian cuisine mixed with seasonal and classic dishes. Surrounded by meadows and trees and yet very conveniently located near the subway highway, which is therefore not a nuisance. We are excited! Thanks for a nice stay! .

The saying: "Where guests become friends" is absolutely true here. You are served warmly but professionally and the food is always a treat. I can only recommend it! The in-house dumpling fries 👍 are particularly delicious

The service is very friendly and nice. I find the ambience a bit old. It is more reminiscent of a large waiting hall than a hotel. The food is with the "Wiesenschnitzel" with 15.90 € for my terms out of proportion and find it simply too expensive. If there had been something of high quality on my plate, I would have no problem paying 18 or 20 € for it. I would normally only give 2 stars, but because the beef roulade with red cabbage and dumplings tasted very good to my companion, I still give 3 stars. In a nutshell ... I would probably take a look at other locations in beautiful Thuringia. That is just my opinion ... I wish all other guests who like it there a lot of fun and good appetite in the Hotel Waldmühle

Nice rooms (the pillows were a bit of a joke: more like medium sized baby duvets), nice food, friendly service. A bit noisy if in a room facing the road (very popular with bikers, which was also why we were there). Free range chickens, ducks, geese, a friendly pig, goats and sheep. Dogs welcome at €10 per dog per night.

We have eaten in the restaurant here a few times. It was always very tasty and changes to the side dishes were never a problem. We especially recommend the roulade with dumplings or something with dumplings 😋. But the monthly pass is always interesting and varied. Price / performance ratio is right, service always very friendly. Clear recommendation!
